When there is no electricity in a shop, it is very annoying. Not only for the shop itself and the employees who have to close the doors, but also for any customers who count on being able to come to you. This was also the case at Action in Apeldoorn, where electricity would not be available for half a day due to work on the electricity grid. After all, without electricity, the shop cannot function as such.

Most important for the Action in Apeldoorn was of course that the doors did not have to be closed due to a lack of electricity. This so that customers could still rely on Action’s service and Action itself would also not lose any sales. Moreover, the additional objective was to supply the shop with energy in the most sustainable way possible and not have a ‘dirty’ and noisy diesel generator running in the city.
Action received the letter informing them of the work on the power grid only at very short notice before it was actually due to take place. Accomodation Management at Volta Energy was contacted very quickly, but quick action was required. With that, the main question was whether it would be possible to deliver a Solar Generator on time at all.
In the end, we managed to deliver a 15 kVA Solar Generator on time for the Action in Apeldoorn. The Action was so satisfied with this that we were allowed to deliver another 15 kVA Solar Power Generator at the next work at short notice, eight days later. Despite the short duration of use, we can also be very satisfied with the results achieved. For instance, just over €4 was saved on diesel, a saving of 2.6 litres of diesel compared to a conventional diesel generator. Moreover, over 11 kilograms less CO2 was emitted over the two days the Volta Solar Generator was used in Apeldoorn.
The power generators come in different sizes - from 6 kVA to 120 kVA - so that all construction sites and events can be supplied with renewable energy on site.
