What is Energy-as-a-Service?

Energy-as-a-Service, or EaaS, is the way Volta Energy operates. It means you don't just rent the Volta: you get full end to end management included. No separate line items, no hidden costs, no hassle. Fixed, all-in-one price. Everything included.

That covers delivery and transport to your location, installation and commissioning by our technical team, fuel management throughout the project, proactive and corrective maintenance, 24/7 remote monitoring and collection at the end of the project.

You run the project. We manage the energy.

How does it work, step by step?

  • Tailored advice. You get in touch with our team. We ask a few targeted questions about your project: what kind of site is it, how long does the project run and what is your power demand? Based on that, we recommend the model that fits best. No technical knowledge required on your end. That is our job.
  • Quotation. You receive a clear all-in quotation. No separate items for fuel, maintenance or monitoring. What you see is what you pay.
  • Delivery and installation. Our technical service employee delivers the Volta to your location on the agreed date. We install everything, verify operation and give you a brief walkthrough. After that, you don't need to do anything. The solar panels charge the battery, the battery delivers the power. If the backup is needed, it kicks in automatically. No buttons, no manual refueling, nothing to think about.
  • We monitor, you work. Throughout the entire project, we monitor the Volta continuously and remotely. Our system detects deviations before they become a problem. Our technicians resolve issues remotely or come on site when needed. You will never notice a thing.
  • Fuel management. We track the fuel level and arrange timely replenishment. You never need to check, order or refuel. We handle it.
  • Collection. Project finished? We schedule the collection of the Volta. You don't need to do a thing. We show up, pack everything up and we're gone.

How plug-and-play is a Volta?

Completely. A Volta is designed to be put into operation without any technical knowledge. Commissioning by our courier takes less than five minutes. Cables and equipment are connected and the Volta does the rest.

No complex settings, no daily checks and no manual actions required. The system manages itself based on current energy demand and available generation. We monitor performance remotely and intervene when necessary.

What do I need to do myself?

Volta Energy handles delivery, installation, fuel management, maintenance and monitoring. We take care of the power while you focus entirely on your project.

What if something goes wrong?

Our monitoring system runs 24/7. If there is a deviation, we typically know about it before it has any impact. Our technical team resolves issues as quickly as possible, remotely or on site. You always have direct contact with a knowledgeable team member, without queues or call centres.
