A Volta is a reliable 3-in-1 mobile energy system that combines solar panels, smart batteries and a biofuel backup in one compact system. During the day, the panels charge the battery. The battery delivers power to the traffic control system, including at night. When the battery runs low, the backup kicks in automatically and shuts off again once the battery is back at level.
The power profile is ideal for traffic control applications. A standard temporary traffic control system typically draws 400 to 600 Watts continuously. That is exactly the range our compact models, like the Volta 6 or the Volta 2 ZERO are built for. These systems sit on a pallet base, can be moved with a forklift and take up minimal space on site.
On average, our systems achieve 97% less CO₂ and 91% less nitrogen emissions compared to a conventional diesel generator, for traffic control applications. In practice, that means virtually no emissions on site, since the system runs almost entirely on solar and battery power.
