Proud, grateful and motivated to keep growing, Volta Energy has been named winner of the Lifeport Parel Award 2025. This award is presented by The Economic Board Regio Arnhem Nijmegen to companies that stand out in the fields of innovation, sustainability and social impact.
The award was received on 5 June by the Volta Energy team, presented by Jan van Dellen, director of The Economic Board Regio Arnhem Nijmegen. In his speech, he praised Volta Energy as “a leading example of how entrepreneurship in our region contributes to key themes such as the energy transition and sustainability. Their innovative approach and growth inspire other companies to also contribute to a future-proof region.”
“Roel and Luc Bleumer have recognised the importance of the environment and nature from a young age, and by ‘simply starting to build’ they have brought a product to market that makes a significant contribution to the energy transition and climate goals. Within five years, they have built a company that is not only a gem in the Duiven economy, but certainly also an example for the region,” says Huub Hieltjes, mayor of Duiven.
The Lifeport Parel Award is a regional distinction for companies and organisations that contribute to a future-proof economy through their innovative and sustainable approach. The award is presented three times a year to parties that inspire others, make an impact, and put the Arnhem-Nijmegen region on the map (inter)nationally. The award is part of the Lifeport ecosystem: the economic partnership in and around the Arnhem-Nijmegen region.
The Economic Board Regio Arnhem Nijmegen supports this ecosystem by connecting entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions and governments.
