Meet the Volta 120

The Volta 120 is our most powerful 3-in-1 mobile energy system, developed for large-scale construction sites, heavy infrastructure projects and high-power applications without a grid connection. The system combines solar panels, a battery pack and a backup generator in one integrated system.

Volta 120K02 - met achtergrond

The heaviest jobs. The cleanest solution.

The Volta 120 is the flagship of the first generation Volta series. Developed for projects where high continuous power output is non-negotiable and sustainability is a hard requirement. With a continuous output of 24 kW and a peak output of 108 kW.

91% average CO₂ reduction

compared to a conventional diesel generator.

38% average fuel saving

compared to a conventional diesel generator.

Silent in standard operation

The HVO100 backup only activates when solar and battery output is insufficient.

Up to 576 kWh per 24 hours

of available energy.

Volta: 3-in-1 mobile energy system

The Volta 120 combines three technologies that work seamlessly together, controlled by smart software.

1. Solar panels
The amorphous solar panels generate energy during the day and charge the batteries. They continue to produce energy even in cloudy or rainy weather.

2. The battery
The 187.2 kWh LiFePO4 battery stores the generated energy and supplies power at any time of day, continuously even when the sun isn’t shining.

3. HVO100 Combustion Engine
Is the capacity insufficient, the 150 kVA Stage V HVO100 generator automatically kicks in. It charges the batteries in up to two hours and switches off automatically as soon as the system is self-sufficient again. HVO100 is a 100% renewable, fossil-free fuel that emits up to 85% less CO₂ than regular diesel.

The three technologies work together continuously. The system monitors itself and is monitored remotely by the Volta Energy team.

  • What is the continuous output of the Volta 120?
The recommended continuous output of the Volta 120 is 24 kW. Peak output is 108 kW, distributed across three phases of 36 kW each.
  • How much CO₂ does the Volta 120 save compared to a diesel generator?
An average of 91% less CO₂ compared to a conventional diesel generator. This is the average result realised across live projects.
  • For which applications is the Volta 120 suitable?
The Volta 120 is suitable for applications with a continuous power demand of up to 24 kW. Common applications include large-scale construction sites, cabin parks up to 22 kW, electric machinery up to 18 kW and heavy infrastructure projects. For applications above 24 kW continuous, such as electric cranes above 35 kW, the Volta 120 is not the right choice.
  • Does the Volta 120 work in bad weather or at night?
Yes. The combination of the 187.2 kWh battery pack and the 150 kVA HVO100 backup ensures continuous power delivery, 24 hours a day, regardless of weather conditions. With a tank capacity of 1,000 litres, the system is fully self-sufficient even during extended intensive use.
  • How is the Volta 120 delivered?
The Volta 120 is delivered by truck due to its weight of 7,500 kg. Our technical team handles delivery, positioning and installation on site.
  • How large is the Volta 120?
    Folded, the Volta 120 measures 7.0 x 2.5 x 2.7 metres (L x W x H). Unfolded, that is 7.0 x 5.6 x 3.5 metres. Total weight is 7,500 kg.
  • How is the Volta 120 monitored?
Volta Energy monitors the Volta 120 remotely via its own monitoring platform. Consumption, generation, battery status and system performance are visible in real time. Any deviations are flagged and handled by the Volta Energy team.
