What is the continuous output of the Volta 45?
The recommended continuous output of the Volta 45 is 9 kW. Peak output is 36 kW.
How much CO₂ does the Volta 45 save compared to a diesel generator?
An average of 93% less CO₂ compared to a conventional diesel generator. This is the average result realized across live projects.
For which applications is the Volta 45 suitable?
The Volta 45 is suitable for applications with a continuous power demand of up to 9 kW. Common applications include site containers drawing up to 6 kW, electric machinery up to 8 kW and site container parks. For applications above 9 kW continuous, such as larger site container parks or heavy crane equipment, the Volta 120 is the right choice.
Does the Volta 45 work in bad weather or at night?
Yes. The combination of the 62.4 kWh battery pack and HVO100 backup ensures continuous power delivery, 24 hours a day, regardless of weather conditions. The amorphous solar panels also deliver output in overcast conditions.
Is the Volta 45 quieter than a diesel generator?
In standard operation, the Volta 45 is completely silent, because the system runs primarily on solar and battery. When the HVO100 backup is active, the noise level is 60 dB(A) at 7 metres. A conventional diesel generator typically produces 70 to 90 dB(A), around the clock.
How large is the Volta 45?
Folded, the Volta 45 measures 8.5 x 2.2 x 2.85 metres (L x W x H). Unfolded, that is 8.5 x 4.0 x 3.9 metres. Total weight is 3,500 kg. The Volta 45 is towable as a trailer.
How is the Volta 45 monitored?
Volta Energy monitors the Volta 45 remotely via our remote monitoring platform. Consumption, generation, battery status and system performance are visible in real time. Any deviations are flagged and handled by the Volta Energy support team.
