The results
Volta Energy’s Solar Generator ultimately provided 151 kWh of generated energy through the solar panels (PV), enough to operate about 20% with energy-neutral power.
For the remaining running time, generated energy via a biodiesel aggregate was used. However, thanks to the battery pack, the efficiency of the biodiesel aggregate was increased significantly. As a result, a savings of 86% in running time was achieved.
Compared to a conventional diesel aggregate, over β¬250 was saved in the month of October by NTP thanks to the use of the Volta Solar Aggregate, while as much as β¬500 was saved compared to an HVO B100 aggregate. This already includes the rental cost of the generators in the calculation. In addition, 3717.32kg of CO2 has been saved and 3.77kg of NOx has been saved as 820 liters less diesel has been consumed.
All in all, we hope to provide more locations with such savings and even expect to achieve cost savings with this. This is because the equipment works many times more efficiently than a conventional diesel generator.
